So much to be thankful for!

#1 DC Universe Online Game
The game seems to be coming along great and the creators released pictures of the hero they wanted to highlight this month---Nightwing! What do you think? Could we possibly see an SDCC 2010 launch?

#2 Star Wars the Old Republic Game
Rumor? Or is it true? According to a translated German magazine report, BioWare announced the last two playable classes in the game---"Jedi Consular" and "Sith Inquisitor." Directly from the message boards of SWTOR, here are the descriptions of each character:

Jedi Consular
The seventh class is the Jedi Consular. Contrary to the revealed Jedi Knight, several weeks ago, is the Consular not to be found in the first line. Although he can swing the lightsaber too, he masters several ranged fighting skills like "Sleep", "Lift" or "Smash". The class can be tuned into damage or healing. Thus is the Jedi Consular one mighty support class in the Old Republic.

Sith Inquisitor
The Sith Inquisitor is the last of the eight classes totally with which SWTOR will launch. The Inquisitor is the opposite of the Consular and is a fighter from the second line. Equipped with force abilities like the "Shock" or the "Lightning Charge" heats his enemies properly, in which we could assure ourselves in one play session.

#3 Star Trek DVD
The 2-disc special edition comes jammed packed with features that include interviews with the director J.J. Abrams and producer Damon Lindelof (LOST). They walk you through their creative process of how to make Star Trek 'cool' and how they went about casting the roles. Due to really slim special features in DVDs lately, this one is a real winner!

What's New This Week: Before The Shopping Storm

The elves at Entertainment Earth have been busy! We're getting ready for next week's big Black Friday Sale, be sure to come back Monday for more on that, or check out our Pre-Black Friday Sale right now.

We also added a special page just for people wanting to see this week's new items-- there were a bunch. Click here to see all the new items with new pictures this week! But what are the highlights, the new arrivals? I'm glad you asked.
New Arrivals

New Pre-Orders
  • With Twilight fever in the air, the Twilight Jacob Black Barbie Doll is probably the hottest release of the week, until Mattel follows up with a sexy gill man. (It's coming, we know it and you know it.)
  • Based on what may be the next big MMO (that will never topple WOW), the Star Wars: The Old Republic Volume 1 Graphic Novel is coming next year and collects a number of web comics used to flesh out the game's back story. You probably want to read this.
  • Funko's new line of Alice in Wonderland brings bobbles and plush to life in a pretty fantastic way. The plushies look like rag dolls, and the bobble head concept art looks like they stepped out of a picture book.
  • The hugely popular Playskool Dressy Bessy Learning Doll and Playskool Dapper Dan Learning Doll are being redesigned for 2010, however odds are the target 18-month-old demographic will not be aware of the product's rich, decades-long history. Although we suppose you could try to explain it.

Chuck takes over Heroes timeslot!

ComingSoon.net reports that NBC's Chuck is returning January 10 with all new missions and hijinks. It's taking on it's regular slot at 8-9 p.m. on Mondays and Heroes is moving to the 9-10 p.m. slot. The way Heroes is going with the crazy storylines that seem to be all over the place, it's just as well.

With that, enjoy a sneak preview of the new season of Chuck. Here's Chuck (and he has superpowers!), the sultry Agent Sarah Walker, and, for the lack of a better word, "awesome" Agent John Casey back in action! Enjoy!

Smallville's Hawkman revealed and Beckinsale top choice as Catwoman?

Hawkman flies into Smallville
MTV Splashpage revealed the latest Justice Leaguer to make an appearance in CW's Smallville...Hawkman. It seems that he will also play a part in shaping the Man of Steel we know of today. Particularly in terms of teaching him how to fly...

The episode will air as a TV movie on February 5, 2010 and will also feature Dr. Fate, Stargirl, Martian Manhunter, and Amanda Waller.

Beckinsale as Catwoman?
MTV Splashpage had an interesting poll on who fans want to play Catwoman in a sequel to The Dark Knight... And the winner is Underworld star Kate Beckinsale. She's beautiful, she can do action movies, and she's sported the tight vinyl suit before. Excellent choice!

Justice League Crisis on Two Earths Teaser Trailer!

IGN DVD has revealed the trailer for Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths. The movie pays homage to various comic storylines in the the DC Universe of parallel universes with their own versions of the League. In this movie, a "good" Lex Luthor seeks the aid of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Flash, and Martian Manhunter against his world's Crime Syndicate...Who are themselves evil versions of the Justice League.

Yet another seemingly great addition to the DC movie library, this movie stars Mark Harmon as Superman, William Baldwin as Batman, Gina Torres as Super Woman, and James Woods as Owlman.

Enjoy the video!

Wedding Crashers star up for female lead in Spider-Man 4?

The hottest casting news in comic movie adaptations in the last couple of days seems to be that Rachel McAdams (star of Wedding Crashers, the upcoming Sherlock Holmes, and The Notebook) is the front runner to play a female lead in Spider-Man 4. No, she's not replacing Kirsten Dunst as Mary Jane (boo), but the role is just as good. According to Mania.com, McAdams might be playing the vinyl and fur clad villain Black Cat! The main villain of the movie is yet to be revealed, and cast, so hang on true believers... This might be the fresh update that the franchise is needing.

What's New This Week at Entertainment Earth

It's the official unofficial Holiday Season, which is why we're receiving tons and tons of new items every day. More figures, more bobbles, and other goodies. Some of these stick around for a bit, and others blow out as soon as we get them in. This is why we're all really big fans of the pre-order, so yours will go out as soon as possible after it arrives, before someone else has the chance to snag it. So if you want a new case of Star Wars figures, and we've started receiving shipments through wave 11, you might want to get in line for those.

Marvel loses money, Heroes loses cast member, and Green Lantern loses film location

Marvel Entertainment profits drop!

Marvel Entertainment has reported a 60% drop in earnings in the 3rd quarter due to lower film revenue according to superherohype.com. Marvel's Chairman, Morton Handel, explains that, "Anticipation for the high profile Iron Man 2 feature film continues to build, and we are focusing our efforts on the film's May 2010 release and the related licensing opportunities." They are also continuing to work on Thor, The First Avenger: Captain America, and The Avengers films.

Heroes loses cast member!
TV Guide has confirmed that Adrian Pasdar, the high flying politician Nathan Petrelli of NBC's Heroes, has been let go from the show. The character has been in and out of "death" in the past couple of seasons but it looks like this is the final nail in the coffin. He's not the only thing Heroes and NBC is losing this season. They're also losing viewership. Bring back Chuck now!

Green Lantern director on moving film location!
Green Lantern director Martin Campbell talked about the recent change in film location for the superhero sci-fi flick to Empire Online recently and gave them some insight on the change. He states, "He's the only superhero to my knowledge who regularly goes to another planet," and, "Superman and Batman were essentially locked into a particular city. The Lantern isn't so Earthbound." He made it clear that the location of the shoot, which is now New Orleans, won't ultimately matter for the visuals for GL due to the film's outer space locations.

...but what are your favorite EE Bloggers asking for? We're glad you asked.

GeekGirlDiva wants...
1. Star Trek Pon Farr Perfume - I'm actually a big fan of scents, so they had me at "with light, clean notes of citrus, blackcurrant, lotus blossom, and water lily. With base notes from sandalwood, peach, and mulberry". Add the kitcsh value and this is a total win for me.
2. Star Wars Boba Fett and Carbonite Maquette - It combines my fave merc, the coolest bounty hunter, a heart breaking image for any fangirl and some gorgeous animation. Yes please!

3. Star Wars Asajj Ventress Force FX Lightsaber Replica - Do I need to explain this? ::grin:: It's a saber, it's a chick Sith saber, it's got the option for dual blades? Um...need more explanation than that? I'm gonna ask for your Geek Card back.

Zip and a Kick wants...
1. Lost Daniel Faraday Bobble Head - I watched the first 5 seasons of Lost in a month and a half to get up to speed on this truly addicting show. And when the quirky, nerdy, skinny-tie-wearing physicist showed up in season 4, I knew I had ANOTHER favorite character. Bobble head Daniel is even extra awesome, as he comes with Eloise the rat and a journal base.

2. Muppets Pigs in Space First Mate Piggy Tonner Doll - I've got three words for you: "Pigs...in...spaaaaaaaace!" The Muppet Show was an integral part of my childhood (and adolescence. And now adulthood) and the adventures of Captain Link Hogthrob, Dr. Julius Strangepork and First Mate Piggy were among my favorite recurring sketches. Tonner has gone to great lengths - as per usual - to create the sassy swine in one of her most iconic roles from the classic series. The boots! The jumper! The hair! Miss Piggy - then, now and forever.

3. Batman Batgirl vs. Catwoman Statue - When it comes to DC Comics, my allegiance has always squarely been with the one and only Barbara Gordon, AKA Batgirl. Despite the fact that several others have taken up the mantle over the years, Barbara will always be the only Batgirl for me. And when pitted against classic-costumed Catwoman in a battle royale? Exquisite, lovely perfection. And to make this statue even better, the ladies can be reconfigured in a variety of different poses. May the best Gotham Girl win!

Your Trusty Sidekick wants...
1. & 2. Superman Batman DVD Superman Maquette & Superman Batman DVD Batman Maquette - What better way to start collecting statues than getting 2 of the best superheroes of all time? The Superman and Batman statues from the Public Enemies movie are nice, substantial pieces, and are stylized enough which gives them a fresh and edgy look. And the movie is a new classic!
3. Back to the Future DeLorean Vehicle - Let's face it, the 80s are back! And why not go back with the Back to the Future DeLorean? In any case it would make a great gift...for yourself!

Adam16bit wants...
1. Star Wars Galactic Heroes Boba Fett Slave I Set - this look awesome and like a lot of fun. I've got the original Kenner, Galoob, and Hasbro Slave I toys and apparently I have to get this one too. It looks big and chunky plus it comes with a frozen Hansicle.

2. The Star Wars Clone Wars Action Figures Wave 12 is super cool. It has two figures from the episode Trespass, specifically the Talz chief Thi Sen and a cold weather version of Anakin Skywalker. I'm also really excited for the TX-20 Tactical Droid.

3. Also awesome is the Final Fantasy IX Vivi Orunitia Play Arts Action Figure, which is easily my favorite character from that game. I mean, look at him, he's like a blue Orko. Plus he knows black magic.
