What's New This Week: Before The Shopping Storm

The elves at Entertainment Earth have been busy! We're getting ready for next week's big Black Friday Sale, be sure to come back Monday for more on that, or check out our Pre-Black Friday Sale right now.

We also added a special page just for people wanting to see this week's new items-- there were a bunch. Click here to see all the new items with new pictures this week! But what are the highlights, the new arrivals? I'm glad you asked.
New Arrivals

New Pre-Orders
  • With Twilight fever in the air, the Twilight Jacob Black Barbie Doll is probably the hottest release of the week, until Mattel follows up with a sexy gill man. (It's coming, we know it and you know it.)
  • Based on what may be the next big MMO (that will never topple WOW), the Star Wars: The Old Republic Volume 1 Graphic Novel is coming next year and collects a number of web comics used to flesh out the game's back story. You probably want to read this.
  • Funko's new line of Alice in Wonderland brings bobbles and plush to life in a pretty fantastic way. The plushies look like rag dolls, and the bobble head concept art looks like they stepped out of a picture book.
  • The hugely popular Playskool Dressy Bessy Learning Doll and Playskool Dapper Dan Learning Doll are being redesigned for 2010, however odds are the target 18-month-old demographic will not be aware of the product's rich, decades-long history. Although we suppose you could try to explain it.

Chuck takes over Heroes timeslot!

ComingSoon.net reports that NBC's Chuck is returning January 10 with all new missions and hijinks. It's taking on it's regular slot at 8-9 p.m. on Mondays and Heroes is moving to the 9-10 p.m. slot. The way Heroes is going with the crazy storylines that seem to be all over the place, it's just as well.

With that, enjoy a sneak preview of the new season of Chuck. Here's Chuck (and he has superpowers!), the sultry Agent Sarah Walker, and, for the lack of a better word, "awesome" Agent John Casey back in action! Enjoy!

Smallville's Hawkman revealed and Beckinsale top choice as Catwoman?

Hawkman flies into Smallville
MTV Splashpage revealed the latest Justice Leaguer to make an appearance in CW's Smallville...Hawkman. It seems that he will also play a part in shaping the Man of Steel we know of today. Particularly in terms of teaching him how to fly...

The episode will air as a TV movie on February 5, 2010 and will also feature Dr. Fate, Stargirl, Martian Manhunter, and Amanda Waller.

Beckinsale as Catwoman?
MTV Splashpage had an interesting poll on who fans want to play Catwoman in a sequel to The Dark Knight... And the winner is Underworld star Kate Beckinsale. She's beautiful, she can do action movies, and she's sported the tight vinyl suit before. Excellent choice!

Justice League Crisis on Two Earths Teaser Trailer!

IGN DVD has revealed the trailer for Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths. The movie pays homage to various comic storylines in the the DC Universe of parallel universes with their own versions of the League. In this movie, a "good" Lex Luthor seeks the aid of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Flash, and Martian Manhunter against his world's Crime Syndicate...Who are themselves evil versions of the Justice League.

Yet another seemingly great addition to the DC movie library, this movie stars Mark Harmon as Superman, William Baldwin as Batman, Gina Torres as Super Woman, and James Woods as Owlman.

Enjoy the video!

Wedding Crashers star up for female lead in Spider-Man 4?

The hottest casting news in comic movie adaptations in the last couple of days seems to be that Rachel McAdams (star of Wedding Crashers, the upcoming Sherlock Holmes, and The Notebook) is the front runner to play a female lead in Spider-Man 4. No, she's not replacing Kirsten Dunst as Mary Jane (boo), but the role is just as good. According to Mania.com, McAdams might be playing the vinyl and fur clad villain Black Cat! The main villain of the movie is yet to be revealed, and cast, so hang on true believers... This might be the fresh update that the franchise is needing.
